Let’s be real—waxing isn’t usually at the top of anyone’s “fun things to do” list. But at reWAXation, we do things differently. From the moment you step through our doors, you’re not just walking into a waxing salon—you’re stepping into a space where you can feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself. We make sure every visit feels like catching up with your best friend (who just happens to be really good at removing hair).
Our Story
In 2013, Shay founded reWAXation to create a space where people feel comfortable, confident, and themselves. What began as a small studio has grown into four thriving locations across two states, but the mission remains the same—expert waxing in a welcoming, body-positive environment.

A high school dropout who went straight to beauty school at 16, Shay honed her craft in various settings, from small studios to luxury resorts. Experiencing both amazing and stressful workplaces, she was determined to build something better.
Beyond providing a great client experience, she wanted a salon where estheticians were well-paid, supported, and valued—a workplace she wished she had earlier in her career. Today, reWAXation is more than just waxing—it’s about confidence, care, and community for clients and employees alike.
