Waxing & Sugaring Questions
Who will be waxing/sugaring me?
You’ll be in great hands with one of our licensed estheticians. They specialize in Brazilian waxing and sugaring, so you can trust their expertise to provide a smooth and comfortable experience.

What’s a Bikini Wax?
A Bikini Wax cleans up the hair that might peek out of your underwear or bathing suit. We tidy up to about four finger widths from your underwear line, leaving you neat and ready for the beach.

What’s a Betweenie?
A Betweenie goes a bit beyond a bikini wax. We’ll remove more from the sides and the top while leaving the labia and booty untouched. It’s a step closer to a Brazilian without going all the way.

What’s a Brazilian?
A Brazilian removes all the hair from below your belly button, including the backside. If you’d like, we can leave a strip or triangle on top for a custom look. Let us know if you want to include the happy trail (belly button trail) when you book.

Do you wax men?
Yes, we do! However, not all of our estheticians provide male services. Please select the "Advanced Waxing or Sugaring" category when booking to ensure you’re scheduled with a trained and qualified esthetician.

How long should my hair be?
Your hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long—roughly two weeks of growth after shaving. This ensures the wax can grab the hair effectively.

Will my Brazilian hurt?
Waxing can sting a bit, but it’s usually tolerable and gets easier over time as your hair grows back finer. To minimize discomfort, avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment, and consider taking a mild anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen an hour beforehand.

Are there any age restrictions?
Clients must be 18 or have parental approval/signature to get waxed at our salon.

Can I get waxed during my period?
Yes, you can! Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment.

How long will I stay red?
Redness varies depending on your skin type, but it’s usually minimal thanks to the hard wax & sugar we use, which is gentle on sensitive areas.

What about ingrown hairs?
To avoid ingrown hairs, exfoliate regularly and keep your skin hydrated. If you’re prone to ingrowns, sugaring might be a better option for you—it’s gentler and can help reduce irritation.

Can I get waxed if I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! Waxing is safe during pregnancy, and our estheticians are experienced in working with moms-to-be. If you have any concerns, check with your doctor beforehand.

Is waxing sanitary?
Yes! We have a strict no double-dipping policy, so every wax stick is used once and disposed of. We take hygiene seriously to ensure your safety.

How long will my appointment take?
A Brazilian typically takes about 15-30 minutes. Other services like full leg, back, or chest waxing are also done in 30 minutes or less.

What should I do to prepare for my wax?
Exfoliate your skin the day before your appointment, and avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior. If you’re worried about discomfort, take a mild anti-inflammatory an hour before your visit.

What is sugaring?
Sugaring is a natural hair removal method using a paste made from sugar, water, and lemon juice. It’s gentler on the skin, less painful, and great for all skin types. Plus, it’s water-soluble, so cleanup is easy.

Why do I still feel stubble after my wax/sugar?
Stubble happens when hairs are too short for the wax to grab or if they’re in a different growth phase. With consistent waxing, your hair cycles will sync up, giving you smoother results over time.

Can you explain the hair growth cycles?
Hair grows in three stages: growth (anagen), transition (catagen), and rest (telogen). Not all hairs are in the same stage at first so some may be missed. With regular waxing, we’ll get all the hairs on the same cycle for super smooth results.
